According to a rumor of popular videogames forum NeoGAF from a user who’s been verified by one of the site’s mod to be trustworthy, PS4 will launch in the U.S. on October 21st. That’s just 68 days away.
According to NeoGAF user Nealand Liquor, who manages the electronics department at a “very large retailer”, a product release schedule from their head office was sent out, revealing that an unnamed Sony console would release on October 21st.
According to Nealand Liquor, the release was for internal use only, designed to allow employees time to in-store merchandise plans.
If this is true, it would mean that PS4 would launch ahead of Xbox One, which Microsoft has already confirmed will be released in November, giving Sony’s machine yet another advantage over its competitor. It would also mean the next-generation of gaming is closer than ever.
Are you excited? I sure am.
